TIG’s Print Environmental Initiatives 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment towards a greener future, TIG is proud to announce our comprehensive sustainability initiatives for 2024. For over 50 years, starting as a Yorkshire-based printing company, we have consistently upheld our commitment to quality products, exceptional customer service and environmental responsibility which has defined us. This year marks another step in our journey towards reducing our carbon footprint and leading positive change within the printing Industry.

Printing on Carbon-Captured Paper:

Our dedication to environmental responsibility extends to our paper sourcing. TIG exclusively uses carbon-captured paper, sourced through the Carbon Capture program with Premier Paper and Antalis. This not only ensures exceptional print quality but actively captures and stores carbon emissions.

Vegetable-Based Inks for Press Printing:

In our commitment to greener alternatives, TIG now uses vegetable-based inks for press printing services. Derived from renewable resources, these inks significantly reduce the environmental footprint associated with traditional ink production.

Aluminium Press Printing Plate Recycling:

Recognising the importance of responsible material management, TIG has implemented a robust aluminium press printing recycling program. Aluminium is a widely used material in the printing industry, and recycling it helps conserve valuable resources and energy. By efficiently managing our aluminium waste, we not only minimise our ecological impact but also actively contribute to the circular economy.

The Woodland Trust and World Land Trust

Through the Carbon Capture Programme, TIG supports the work of leading environmental organisations, including the Woodland Trust and World Land Trust. Our aim is to not only offset our environmental impact but also to actively contribute to reforestation and conservation. By participating in this programme, we contribute essential funds for tree planting initiatives, actively supporting the restoration and maintenance of native woodlands in the UK.

Let’s print a greener future together.
